MEATPACKING ASSISTANT
Assist with harvesting live poultry, fine butchery, and meat packing at our shop in Oak Grove, VA.

What You’ll Do

Mondays: You'll be on the processing line in one of several positions: loading, scalding, de-feathering, dressing, and bagging. This process takes about 4-5 hours

Tuesdays: Fine butchery (cutting up chickens) and packing, preparing orders for delivery
Who You Are

Good ability to stay focused on task

This job is never anywhere near as dirty or scary as anything thinks it'll be, but you do need to be able to handle a little blood and the sight of chicken guts.

Can take direction, even if you've "done it before."

Willingness to follow procedures around cleanliness and food safety is a top priority.

Can stand for four hours at a time while actively working.
